Nikki DuBose is a former model, host, and commercial actress turned author, speaker, mental health advocate, and founder of Nikki DuBose Coaching. Her memoir, Washed Away: From Darkness to Light, will be released August 2016. Nikki is a survivor of child abuse, sexual victimization, eating disorders, substance abuse and various mental health issues; her personal healing journey has led her to help people all over the world discover their intrinsic value and self-worth. Nikki's advocacy work has included pushing AB 2539 with California Assemblymember Marc Levine, which addressed the need for workplace protections and health standards for models working in the fashion industry. She has collaborated with organizations and key leaders across the nation including the National Eating Disorders Association, The Model Alliance, Dr. Bryn Austin, director of Harvard STRIPED, and attorney Cassandra Soltis.
DuBose is an executive board member of Peaceful Hearts Foundation and Project HEAL SoCal Chapter, two organizations dedicated to raising awareness on child sexual abuse and eating disorders. In addition to her writing, speaking and advocacy, Nikki is pursuing her degree in Psychology, with the goal of one day obtaining her Ph.D.
