    Welcome to the first edition of Recovery Coaching Times, the newsletter of Recovery Coaches International. We're very proud and enthusiastic to introduce ourselves as we learn more about you and how to best support the addiction recovery community through coaching. Message from the President
Welcome to what promises to be the most exciting source for information about Recovery Coaching. My name is Jan Brown; I am the current President of Recovery Coaches International (RCI) and thrilled to be writing a short update highlighting some of the news of our organization. First, I would like to congratulate the Get the Word Out Task Force for their efforts to create this ezine and for their work on developing a database for RCI. We're now connected in a way that will boldly advance our work.

Pat Moomey, BRI, CATC, CRC
(Board Registered Interventionist, Certified Addictions Treatment Counselor,
Certified Recovery Coach)

Pat Moomey has been in her own recovery since 1982 and hasPat Moomey been doing interventions since 1984. She was
the Director of Rehabilitation at The Salvation
Army from 1995-2002. Pat specializes in grief,
assertiveness, shame and co-dependency, and
she added Recovery Coaching to help clients
identify and define values, strategize decisions,
uncover purpose and obtain tools.
